West-Aircomm FCU started as an alternative way to save and borrow money that would benefit a group of people who worked together. More than 70 years later, we’re proud to continue their mission in our community. As a member-owned and -operated financial cooperative, we focus on finding ways to help all of our members, offering a wide range of products and services designed to meet your financial needs.

1949

Seven Westinghouse Electric hourly workers in Beaver, PA form Westinghouse Beaver Federal Credit Union to improve the financial lives of working-class Westinghouse employees and their immediate families. Offering affordable returns and a fair return on Share savings accounts, the credit union began—and continues—as people helping people.

1980

New sponsor companies join Westinghouse Beaver FCU membership, extending the field of membership and the advantages to a wider community.

1987

Westinghouse Beaver FU and Pittsburgh Airport Chamber of Commerce Credit Union merge to form West-Aircomm.

2005

Tri-county community charter approved for West-Aircomm to serve those who live, work, worship, or go to school in Beaver, Butler, and Allegheny counties in Pennsylvania.

2006

Additional mergers with small credit unions in the region, like LTV Steel #1, expand the West-Aircomm field of membership and continue the tradition of serving areas and members with a strong, working-class past.

2021

21,000 member and over $255 million in assets.
